15003 Antihopping slipper clutch SV 650 –
mounting instructions
Congratulation, you bought one of best clutch
systems for your SV650.
This clutch should be installed by an
experienced Suzuki workshop, or mechanic.
- Read these instructions with photos before you start. Check if the
set includes all parts.
- Remove the old clutch drum ( according Suzuki workshop manual ),
clean the threads on the main shaft and big nut of old glue with brake
cleaner.
- Put the shim ( Original )
between basket and drum, when you replace the drum.
- Install pre assembled slipper drum.
- Install the original steel washer ..
- Tighten the big nut ( Original
) with torque of 127 Nm and secure it with glue Loctite No. 620 (RED).
- This slipper clutch is designed for using Original clutch
plates. Install all Original clutch
plates in same position as before (
mark plates by remounting ). Install a normal width friction plate
first, then the narrow friction plate with 2 thin rings. Aster that
install the remaining clutch plates as normal.
- Install push pin ( original ) to push rod.
- Install pressure plate.
- Install original clutch springs, and spring kit-retainers, tighten
all bolts. On bike older than 2003
use springs from a 2003 or newer.
- Be sure to properly adjust the clutch push rod clearance with the adjuster near the counter shaft sprocket. as well as the clutch lever.
Check for the correct
clearance between pressure plate and
clutch via the small holes in the
pressure plate. Correct clearance is about 1.0 mm. Minimal clearance is 0.5mm, When
it is smaller, change all friction plates
- Every time use new clutch cover
gasket.
- Mount case cover according to the workshop manual.
TUNING TIPS

in case, you have strong tuned up
engine, you can use KIT spring retainers 14210 or 14211 for more clutch spring
preload,

also if you prefer more engine back torque, use KIT spring retainers 14210 or 14211
