20403 Antihopping clutch kit MV AGUSTA F3 675 - mounting instructions

Congratulations, you bought one of the best clutch systems for your MV.

This clutch should be installed by an experienced MV service center, or experienced mechanic.

1. Read these instructions with photos before you start. Check if the kit includes all parts.
2. Remove the old clutch ( according MV workshop manual ), clean the threads on the shaft of old glue perfectly. Clean this part with brake cleaner.
3. Check if the original spacer between bearing and clutch drum is in its position ( pic.b)
4. Check, if the steel balls are in their pockets. Use two clutch springs and upper spring retainers to temporarily clamp both parts of clutch drum together.
5. Install this unit install to gearbox shaft ( pic. c )
6. The kit includes small parts for mounting. Install the spring washer ( pic d ), spider spring ( pic.e ) and main nut ( pic.f ). Nut torque moment 130 Nm ( pic.g ), use glue Loctite No. 620 (RED) to secure.
7. Remove the two springs with retainers.
8. Install clutch plates. This kit is designed for OEM clutch plates. Correct thickness of clutch plate pack is 37.8 - 38.0mm, for which this clutch is designed. Be careful if using aftermarket clutch plates, their thickness may vary.

Don´t install the special friction plate with larger inside diameter with two steel rings if possible. ( pic. h,i), Use all normal friction plates. If this is not an option, never mount this special friction plate in the first position. Install and normal friction plate, then a steel, then the special friction plate with the thin rings. The remaining clutch plates install as originally ( pic.j ).

Install push rod ( pic.k )

9. Mount the pressure plate ( pic.l ). Install clutch springs with kit retainers ( pic.m ) and M5 kit bolts ( torque 8 Nm ).
10. Check the clearance between pressure plate and clutch hub via the small hole in the pressure plate. The correct clearance is about 1.2 mm. When the clutch plates wear and the clearance is smaller than 0.50mm change all friction plates to new ones.
11. Install clutch cover according MV Agusta workshop manual.
