23003 Antihopping slipper clutch ZRX 1200 –
mounting instructions
Congratulation, you bought one of best clutch
systems for your ZRX 1200.
This clutch should be installed by an
experienced racing workshop, or mechanic.
- Read this instructions with photos before you start. Check if the
set includes all parts.
- Remove the old clutch hub ( according Kawasaki workshop manual ),
clean the thread on the main shaft and big nut from old glue with brake
cleaner.
- Put shim ( original )
between basket and drum, when you replace it. ( pic.a )
- Install the pre mounted slipper hub. ( pic.b )
- Install kit steel washer .(
pic.c )
- Tighten big nut ( STD ) (
pic. d ) with torque 120 Nm ( pic. e ) and secure it with glue Loctite No.
620 (RED) or similar strong glue. ( pic.f )
- This slipper clutch is designed for using OEM clutch plates, and OEM clutch springs ( pic.g)
- Install push pin ( STD ) to push rod. ( pic. h )
- Install pressure plate. ( pic. i )
10. Put STD clutch springs, put spring kit-retainers , tighten all M5 bolts
with torque 6 – 8 Nm. ( pic.j,k ) Check for the correct squish between pressure
plate and clutch hub via the small holes in the pressure
plate. Correct clearance is about 1.0
mm. Minimal clearance is 0.7mm, when the clutch plates wear. Then change all
friction plates .
- Everytime use new clutch cover
gasket.
- Mount case cover according to Kawasaki workshop manual.
